be a little more of you…

and a lot less of them

Mental Health support for Individuals, Families, Men and Teenagers

Helping you to find solace and begin a relationship with your authentic self.

If you're seeking an alternative to the existing mental health system or looking for a different approach, perhaps this practice is the right fit for you.

My aim is to guide you towards finding solace and initiating a meaningful relationship with your authentic self. Through our work together, we'll explore the depths of your being, unraveling layers of family conditioning and societal expectations to reveal the true essence of who you are. By fostering self-awareness and acceptance, you'll embark on an adventure of self-discovery and empowerment, aligning your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your genuine desires and values. Together, we'll create a space where you can embrace your uniqueness, honour your emotions, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and fulfillment.

Feelings of sadness, depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, overwhelm, stress, anger, fear, worthlessness, loneliness, or a sense of not being good enough, you're not alone. It doesn't have to stay this way. I see these thoughts and mental health symptoms as adaptations—a learned response by your nervous system to cope with an unsafe, chaotic, or unpredictable environment.

The landscape of diagnosis and medication usage has reached a dangerous point, where the lines between Psychiatry and Psychology have become increasingly blurred, and the concept of normality seems to be narrowing. Individual assessments and the tendency to pathologise individuals have led to an abundance of labels, while the over-reliance on pharmaceuticals has shaped the approach of treatment institutions and professionals. The system is neglecting the broader human, emotional, and relational dimensions of individuals and families.

In what has become an increasingly impersonal world, it is time to reconnect.

Consciousone therapy sessions are accessible online across Australia. My approach prioritises building connections, creating a safe space for vulnerability, promoting acceptance, and providing honest, no-nonsense therapy — all while infusing sessions with engagement and warmth.

This practice does not require a Referral nor do I subscribe to Mental Health Care plans.

Get out of your head and into your heart

May I have the courage to bring about what the weary person needs, but does not know how to get. I get it; choosing a therapist, counsellor or psychologist is tough right? So much information, so much confusion and so little time. What do l do and how can I help you, given you are already in crisis!! Here is some (hopefully) easily digestible information designed to simplify the process and how I can help you.

more about melanie…

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone

Consciousone is the result of searching for my authentic self and not stopping until I found her….. it is the result of listening to my soul, choosing to be brave and doing the work……….

I place a huge emphasis on my own personal work, which has resulted in adventures that are both challenging and varied. I now find ways to slow down, keep it simple, cultivate gratitude, to find peace in solitude, and I have learnt to breathe… deeply and often. On a daily basis I surrender my expectations, create healthy boundaries, stay away from negative people and stop trying to please everyone.
